In this scene Alice is writing to Henry but he is not receiving the letters, i believe its because he is in solitary. Yet, when he gets the letters he writes back angrily. I can almost feel where Henry is coming from in saying...."Why keep fighting when everyone is against us?"....I liked this scene because it allowed us to really see if Alice really going to fight for these boys.

This perfectly shows that Henry has doubt in the fight for freedom. While in solitary he ahd a whole tlak with the Pachuco and started wondering, Henry began to feel institutionalized. This shows the stress that each one of these boys went through while sitting in jail for no reason.
